The Three Tenors
The Three Tenors was a popular operatic singing group during the 1990s and early 2000s, consisting of Spaniards Plácido Domingo and José Carreras and the Italian Luciano Pavarotti. The trio began their collaboration with a performance at the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome, Italy on 7 July 1990, the eve of the 1990 FIFA World Cup Final. Zubin Mehta conducted the orchestra of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the orchestra of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. The recording of this debut concert became the best-selling classical album of all time and led to additional performances and live albums. Around 1.3 billion viewers worldwide watched their second televised performance four years later at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Their last performance as a group was at an arena in Columbus, Ohio on 28 September 2003.
Three tenors always gave spectacular and awesome performances to all of their audiences. Not only impress their audience, but also they entertain the audiences with their behavior in singing such as Plácido Domingo and José Carreras showed some expression that they were jealous when Luciano Pavarotti reached high note when singing O Sole Mio at LA Concert in 1994 and then they did reach the high note too and Luciano Pavarotti showed the same expression like what they did before and it was so entertaining to watch and didn’t make the audiences feel bored.
Some people were disagreed with them doing concert for classical songs and music for masses, they said that these things were supposed to be done in opera or something like that. They respond was it was not what they did because it was aims to entertain the audience and they who came were enjoy it and happy.
There was no limitation in the world of music. All music was supposed to be enjoyed anytime and everywhere for any genre or kind of music. Music is the part of our life and our life will be empty without music. Let all the joy of music reach everyone in the world and give peace to all people who listen to it.
