Seminary – Breaking Into The Tech Industry

Seminary is finally here…Hooray!!! But, at this Seminary, something is a little different than before, and that is because the seminar is in the shape of a pre-recorded seminar similar to a recorded podcast instead of a live seminar. The seminar was recorded back on July 9, 2022, and the recording was premiered in the form of a video on August 2, 2022, on the YouTube platform.

This Seminary’s topic is “Breaking Into The Tech Industry” and this topic was chosen because tech is one of the most in-demand industries. It is considered as an industry open to non-traditional education, so high-paying jobs are accessible to people of all economic and educational backgrounds.

Hosted by notable Binusian Gardyan Akbar, our debut podcast is joined by a distinguished guest who is a tech professional and Jakarta Smart City’s Head of Data Analytics, Mr. Juan Kanggrawan. Before becoming a tech professional, Mr. Juan received education from many universities until getting a bachelor’s and master’s degree in technology. Aside from being a technology expert, Mr. Juan also learned about public policy so that he can ensure what he is going to do in the future will have a direct impact on the government sector, public sector, and also society. Mr. Juan then shared his expertise on technology-related topics, especially on the tech industry and what it takes to pivot into this in-demand field. Mr. Juan also talks about the importance of how to invest in the soft skills that make a crucial difference for a successful and lifelong career in tech.

From the podcast, Mr. Juan has shared his experiences in technology in many sectors and industries. Finally, he also gives a lot of tips and tricks on what to do and don’t to get a job in the technology sector.
