HIMSI’S LDK-AKTIVIS 2026: LEARN, GROW, SUCCEED AS ONE!

In every organization, it is essential to hold a starting point for all newly recruited members and introduce them to basic organizational knowledge, leadership, and the importance of working as one. HIMSI’s LDK-A (Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Aktivis) was held on a Friday, the 12th of December, to fulfill this purpose for the newly recruited junior activists. This event served as their first step toward gaining a better understanding of HIMSI in general, from fundamental concepts to more detailed aspects, while also fostering stronger bonds among themselves. The Board of Management prepared and delivered all the essential materials for the junior activists related to HIMSI.

The activities began with the Board of Management presenting materials on the organizational structure of HIMSI, its divisions and subdivisions, their job descriptions, and the timeline of the 2026/2027 work programs. Right after, the activists were given a fun live quiz to accelerate their understanding of HIMSI further. After the quiz, the vest ceremony was held, with the activists called one by one to the Board of Management, who presented the (newly redesigned) vests with each activist’s nametag, officially declaring them as HIMSI activists with the organizational attributes. Soon after that, they are formally eligible to have their pictures taken with their vests for their ID cards, which will be given later in their journey.

After a needed break, junior activists were assigned to their respective divisions and given case studies. They were given some time to work on their study cases, with their supervisors and the Board of Management keeping them in check. The last activity of LDK-A was the junior activists receiving feedback from HIMSI’s Board of Management afterward.

LDK-A serves as the first introduction of HIMSI’s newly appointed junior activists to organizational work programs. It is conducted to gradually immerse them in leadership and teamwork within student organizations while deepening their understanding of HIMSI.
