HIMSI EXPO 2025: Dive into the world of HIMSLANTIS!

EXPO is part of NEXT or New Student Experience and Transitions for B29 in the First Year Program at BINUS University. The purpose of this event is to introduce new students to the active and diverse environment of student organizations available at BINUS. This year, HIMSI’s EXPO theme was inspired by the mystical legend of ‘Atlantis’. HIMSLANTIS presents an enriching introduction for freshmen to begin their academic journey, a gateway to connect with fellow peers, and to discover how English Department students can thrive within BINUS’s dynamic campus life.

EXPO was held over three days, on August 25, 26, and 27, 2025. During the three days of EXPO, all student organizations introduced and promoted themselves in the atrium in front of the freshmen. The English Department B29 came to HIMSLANTIS booth, where our committee explained HIMSI’s work programs, clubs, how to join, and what benefits we would receive if we joined HIMSI. We also had a special activity in which we wrote our aspirations and dreams for HIMSI and our future as English Department students on small pieces of paper and clip them to the fish net. We also had a parade, where HIMSI and other student organization go around campus from the atrium in the lobby to the fourth floor, chanting their own chants to promote their organization to freshmen. 

Through HIMSLANTIS, we hope that English Department B29 students gained not only an introduction to HIMSI, but also the excitement and spirit of belonging to a supportive community. We sincerely hope that many B29 students will be inspired to join HIMSI and contribute to its growth, while also finding a meaningful place to learn, create, and connect within the English Department members at BINUS.
