Rocketindo: Innovate to Elevate – 2024 BNEC Company Visit Recap

The 2024 BNEC Company Visit has officially taken place at Rocketindo HQ, located in the Thamrin Nine Complex, Central Jakarta. The event ran from 9:30 – 14:00 WIB, with a total of 45 participants, including students from BINUS University, and students from various other universities.

This year’s company visit focused on the theme “Innovate to Elevate: Pioneering The Future Together.” The theme highlights the crucial role of innovation in navigating the rapidly evolving job market. It emphasizes the need for creativity, collaboration, and forward-thinking in an era of constant change. This concept resonates with Rocketindo’s culture. As quoted by their CEO Daniel Liu, “My desire to innovate and create my own company started when I read a book by Steve Jobs. However, theoretical knowledge is not enough, it took me 7 years of constant failure to bring Rocketindo to where it stands right now in the market.” CEO Daniel Liu identified a market gap for international brands and developed a strategy to introduce popular global products to Indonesia, tailoring them to suit the preferences and tastes of the local population.

Besides the insightful seminar by Rocketindo’s CEO, BNEC also hosted several other engaging sessions. For instance, the Company Tour Session allowed participants to explore the workplace and gain a deeper understanding of Rocketindo’s operations. Additionally, the Career Consultation Session provided participants with the unique opportunity to consult in small groups with department heads, offering personalized career advice. To top it off, there was a Quick Interview session where participants had the chance to secure job positions on the spot—four participants were even hired on-the-spot!
