THE 33rd FOLLOW-UP CADRE FORMING: WHEN EXTRAORDINARY MIND MEETS LEADERSHIP

On June 17 and 18, 2026, BNEC held an online makeup event for LDK Aktivis called Follow Up Cadre Forming via Zoom. Follow Up Cadre Forming was a makeup event for the main Cadre Forming, meant for activists who were unable to attend the main event and for Active Members (activists who had just registered)

This activity aimed to train their leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Later, they worked together by sharing ideas, dividing tasks, and discussing how to solve challenges regarding BNEC activities and common problems faced in every event. This way, not only did they discover their new potential in organization, but they were also equipped with general knowledge about the events they will organize and how to solve the problems.

Day 1

On the first day of Follow Up Cadre Forming, the event started with an introduction from the MC and opening remarks from the project event, General President, and Regional Presidents.

The event then continued with presentations on BNEC Culture and Discipline by Rofi Zuhair Ramadhan, Responsibility and Professionalism by Alexander Rafael, a Sharing Session by Calista Lianardi with the MCs, and a Leadership material by Olivia Narayani Sumardi.

The event closed with the selection of the best participants based on their activeness in the Q&A sessions of the materials and their groups. A documentation session was held as proof of attendance for the first session.

Day 2

The second day started with a briefing for the project event making session by the Project Officer, Juan Felix. After that, they joined their groups to discuss what case study they would take for the project event making session. Then, they began making blueprints and proposals, which were divided into several phases.

Phase 1 (Conceptualization): Developing the core event concept (background, objectives, theme, target audience, and innovations), refined through a detailed criticizing session.

Phase 2 (Role Assignment): Defining team roles and reviewing the specific duties tied to each position.

Phase 3 (Timeline Building): The most complex stage, focusing on calculating and estimating the total time required for overall preparation.

Phase 4 (Design & Marketing): Developing promotional strategies and visual concepts (logo, color palette, elements), with strict critique on design to align with BNEC’s creative guidelines.

Phase 5 (Proposal Drafting): Creating the official proposal, focusing on meeting all requirements and thoroughly reviewing the budget.

Phase 6 (Finalization): Creating presentation slides based on the blueprint and proposal, followed by a feedback session from the Steering Committee.

The event closed with an evaluation from the PO for each group, the reading of the activist pledge, the introduction of the Steering Committee and Managing Committee from each region, and closing remarks by the Project Officer, General President, followed by the presidents of each region. A documentation session was also taken at the end of the session as proof of attendance and proof of the Follow Up Cadre Forming Day 2 activity.

In conclusion, the Follow Up Cadre Forming successfully equipped activists and new members with critical skills in leadership, teamwork, and event management. By combining foundational sessions on BNEC’s core values with practical, hands-on blueprint and proposal simulation, the event empowered participants to confidently solve organizational challenges. Ultimately, this initiative has cultivated a resilient and well prepared generation of future leaders ready to drive the success of upcoming BNEC events.
