Indonesian Cultural

Indonesia is an archipelagic country that includes more than 17,000 islands inhabited by around 255 million people, this makes Indonesia the fourth country in terms of the country with the largest population in the world. This also has an impact that there is a lot of cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in Indonesia. The culture varies greatly, from the Hindu rituals practiced daily on the island of Bali, to the (partial) implementation of sharia law in Aceh and the hunter-gatherer lifestyle of the Mentawai people.

Before the national framework was formed, regions in Indonesia experienced separate political and economic histories; a situation that is still visible in the dynamics of the region today. The national motto Bhinekka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) refers to the diverse composition of this country. This motto also shows that, despite being a multicultural society, there is a true feeling of unity in the minds and hearts of the Indonesian people.

We as Indonesian people must know about the diversity of Indonesian culture. It aims to preserve culture. This will increase understanding of the country. Knowledge and understanding of the cultural and dynamic aspects of a country is essential if you intend to invest sustainably and earn or intend to stay in Indonesia for business or personal reasons. This is especially true for Indonesia, whose culture is so diverse and complex.

Indonesian culture is very different from Western culture because there are differences in experiences, belief systems, hierarchies, religions, notions of time, spatial relationships, and much more. Moreover, in Indonesia itself there are many different cultures. This makes Indonesia a complex country.
