6 WAYS HOW TO TURN A BAD MOOD AROUND

We all have good days and bad days. While some things in our life are out of our control, there are so many items we CAN control; including how we view them. Now, I’m not saying we can flip a magic switch and the worst day of our life will turn into something amazing but what I am saying is that we play a factor in the outlook of the rest of the day. So, let me share with you a few growth mindset tricks and how to turn a bad mood around.

WAKE UP ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BED.

My husband had a quote above his bed as a teenager “today is better than yesterday.”  It was the first thing he saw in the morning and the last thing before he went to bed.  If you’re a quote person, find one that will help you adjust your mindset when you need it the most.  You can put it on your computer screen, bathroom mirror, or set as a reminder on your phone during certain times of day.  Whenever you think you need it the most.

LET IT GO.

If you have to, channel your inner Elsa and just let it go.  The thing that really pissed you off doesn’t have to define how you look at everything else.  You can be annoyed at the one thing, but breathe, let it go and move on.

DO SOMETHING ELSE.

Is that one task just bothering you and you keep messing up?  Just stop, walk away for a few minutes, start something else and come back.  There’s no reason to torture yourself over and over again.

SET A TIMER.

You want to be mad and sulk in your own misery. I get it-we’ve all been there but set your limit.  Put a timer on for 2 minutes and be as annoyed and frustrated and you want then make a promise to move on!

TALK IT OUT.

As someone who thrives off of relationships, I just need to talk it out to calm me down.  Find the one person you can really rely on, tell them about how crappy that thing was and move on.

JOURNALING.

If you don’t love talking write it down in a journal.  But once your journal entry is over don’t dwell on it and let those emotions ruin your day.

Well, there you go friends 6 things to help you turn your frown upside down.  Take this opportunity to change your day one moment at a time.
