Youth Motion 2022 Learn UI/UX: Level up Your Business Design #UpRoarYourBusiness

Youth Motion is a workshop initiated by AIESEC in BINUS as a media for youth to enhance their aspiration then realize it directly. To do our part for The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, we brought up themes stemming from SDGs point. For this year, we choose SDG 9 : Industry, Innovation, Infrastructure. From that we decided to talk about digital marketing as the majority of industry in the present day revolves around digital media.

One crucial detail for digital marketing is the visual. An eye-catching design can attract more engagement from the public, but there’s minimal understanding of digital marketing and UI/UX from youth. That’s the reason for Youth Motion 2022, we brought up “Graphic Design UI/UX for Digital Marketing” as the theme. Through this event youth can gain knowledge about digital marketing and UI/UX to prepare themselves to face digital challenges in this modern era where digital media is the medium of every seller and consumer.

This year we managed to facilitate 96 participants, mostly BINUSIANs, to enhance their knowledge about digital marketing, UI/UX, and realize it directly through our workshop session using Figma. We collaborate with 2 speakers to do so, namely Fadil Aditya Edwin (Founder of Kampus Marketing) and I Nyoman Krisna Arkandea (Banking UI/UX Designer).

This event officially started with an opening from 2 MCs, Illene Micahela and Mindy Sabila, followed by the opening speech from the OCP, Stephanie Ivana. Next up is the first speaker, kak Fadil, session where he talks about the importance of digital marketing nowadays and how we can enhance our skill. He also answered some questions from the participants regarding the material he brought. Then, the second speaker, kak Arkandea, talks about UI/UX and gives us the tutorial on how to use Figma. After that it’s time for our focused agenda, which is the workshop session! From this workshop session, we got 2 best designs from our participants, Jennica Aline Purnama and Maura Pramesti Prasetyo. Kak Arkandea also gives a special prize for the best participant, Deshinta Wahyu Anggraeni, which is a discount for a 1-to-1 coaching session. After the RnR announcement, we closed the session off with recap and documentation.
