Professional Persona: MCB’s LDKCP

MCB Empowers Activists Through Leadership Development at LDKA 2025

Jakarta, 28 May 2025 – The Modelling Club of Binus (MCB) recently hosted Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Calon Pengurus (LDKCP), a two-day leadership training designed to cultivate a strong sense of professionalism and character among its future leaders. Centered around the theme “Professional Persona,” the program explored how leadership in modeling extends beyond image into influence, attitude, and impact.

More than Just a Model

In an era shaped by rapid technological development and evolving cultural values, MCB serves as a platform for students to grow not only in modeling and fashion, but also in confidence, critical thinking, and professional identity. The opening of LDKCP 2025 emphasized this broader vision, reminding participants that success in modeling requires more than poses and runway walks, it demands purpose and integrity.

Throughout the day, participants were introduced to the foundational values of MCB, including responsibility, integrity, and effective communication. Interactive sessions encouraged activists to reflect on their own leadership potential and their role in shaping MCB’s organizational culture.

Developing the Leader Within

LDKCP continued with hands-on workshops and group activities designed to build essential soft skills. Participants practiced strategic thinking, public speaking, and conflict resolution, while also learning to work effectively as a team. These sessions helped future leaders understand the importance of collaboration and the power of personal accountability.

Senior members and mentors shared stories and lessons from their own experiences in leadership roles within MCB, offering guidance on navigating challenges with professionalism and resilience.

Building a Lasting Impact

The program also focused on personal development, encouraging each activist to think about their long-term goals and the professional image they want to project. Participants engaged in self-reflection activities, exploring how their values, communication style, and actions contribute to the impression they leave as aspiring role models.

As LDKCP 2025 came to a close, participants felt empowered to step forward with clarity and confidence. With a stronger sense of identity and purpose, these future leaders are now equipped not only to serve in the club but also to positively influence their communities and the modeling industry at large.
