The welcoming party is an annual welcome for freshmen every year who want to join an official association or organization of a department including the English Literature Association (HIMSI\/Himpunan Sastra Inggris) This event was celebrated on 28th September 2024 on Saturday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The welcoming party\u2019s theme for this year is \u201cRETRO NIGHT\u201d with this theme we want to create a more festive welcoming event and HIMSI (Himpunan Sastra Inggris) is very open to accepting new members.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event started at 10 am, starting with an opening by the MC (Master of Ceremony), Tan Rizky Abdul Hakim, together with Alfiya Sakura. After the opening greeting from MC, there is a special band performance from Binusian-26.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After the amazing performance of the Binusian-26, we heard the first speech by Odetta Aisha Amrullah as the Head of the Welcoming Party. And then continued by Regina Ayu Pramesti as the president of HIMSI (Himpunan Sastra Inggris) and we will heard material presentation about Binus English Department and HIMSI (Himpunan Sastra Inggris) that presented by Irfan Rifai S.Pd., M.Ed., Ph.D. as HIMSI\u2019s DPI.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the afternoon, after all the speeches have been presented, the MC started to create groups for the game session and freshmen will be divided into 4 groups. For the game session, There are 4 posts in different places that have been occupied by the committee to start the game. The freshmen played guess the draw on the back, minefield, telepathy game, and chain message. And after the freshmen had already done the games, they discussed the meaning of our games and then we took a break.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After we finished the break, we had a Karaoke, photobooth and potluck session<\/span> where Freshmen sang along together, took the photos, and ate snacks that they brought from home, We are already at the end of the event, namely determining the winner from the group that has been created, whoever has found the answer to the meaning of the game that they have played together is the winner.<\/span><\/p>\n
