It all started when I suggest bringing a doll of each<\/span><\/p>\n

It would be fun<\/span><\/i>, I said<\/span><\/p>\n

You said yes<\/span><\/p>\n

You hinted the doll will be mine by tomorrow<\/span><\/p>\n

I got so excited<\/span><\/p>\n

My cheeks were beaming<\/span><\/p>\n

When the day comes<\/span><\/p>\n

Our doll met<\/span><\/p>\n

Smiling, sat next to each other<\/span><\/p>\n

Having their one and only time being together perhaps<\/span><\/p>\n

So are we<\/span><\/p>\n

Spending time with each other<\/span><\/p>\n

When the time is up<\/span><\/p>\n

That doll become like the magic lamp<\/span><\/p>\n

I rub it and those last memories show up<\/span><\/p>\n

It wouldn\u2019t be fun anymore<\/span><\/i>, I said as my eyes start soaking wet<\/span><\/p>\n

By the next day<\/span><\/p>\n

The genie trapped inside<\/span><\/p>\n

Screaming out loud begging for me to rub<\/span><\/p>\n

On that night<\/span><\/p>\n

I put the doll beside me on the bed<\/span><\/p>\n

Talk to it romantically<\/span><\/p>\n

Give it affection<\/span><\/p>\n

Helplessly hoping one day it will be you<\/span><\/p>\n

Though I know just a waste of time<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

As the day went by<\/span><\/p>\n

I was rushed by the reality<\/span><\/p>\n

Flame of hope slowly dims<\/span><\/p>\n

I talk to the doll less and less<\/span><\/p>\n

That holy place on bed became cold<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps it becomes like me<\/span><\/p>\n

numb,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

paralyzed,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

confused,<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Perhaps secretly wanting a slight miracle<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tonight<\/span><\/p>\n

The doll is at the end of the bed<\/span><\/p>\n

The genie still trapped inside<\/span><\/p>\n

Still waiting for me to rub<\/span><\/p>\n

But this time,<\/span><\/p>\n

it makes no sound<\/span><\/p>\n

Because the genie knows<\/span><\/p>\n

As the flame completely off,<\/span><\/p>\n
