{"id":1148,"date":"2021-06-15T06:30:27","date_gmt":"2021-06-14T23:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/student-activity.binus.ac.id\/himsi\/?p=1148"},"modified":"2021-06-23T17:21:56","modified_gmt":"2021-06-23T10:21:56","slug":"pow-class-of-2020-by-radikha-freya-anjani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/student-activity.binus.ac.id\/himsi\/2021\/06\/pow-class-of-2020-by-radikha-freya-anjani\/","title":{"rendered":"PoW: Class of 2020 by Radikha Freya Anjani"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Class of 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I could\u2019ve felt her satin kiss,<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">her beaded edges and mercurial grace that flies past my greatest enemies<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The light mirrored from her shiny surface collapsing inside my eyes in the dark as I stumble to the loo looking for sobriety<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She would\u2019ve been the ticket out of the image I was pushed into the whole three years of torture<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She would\u2019ve been my femme fatale for the night<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Yet she remains in my vision board and in my sleep where I dream of a normal outcome of reality<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Where the world didn\u2019t end and the people remained alive<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Her majesty never even made it to the tailor\u2019s table<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">My waist never got to be sized<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And the red lipstick lets itself be only lightly dabbed before turning on my camera for class<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When it should\u2019ve been applied fearlessly for a night I would\u2019ve remembered until my olden days<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She remains in the version of my youth\u2019s closure where I got to dance with my sweetheart<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and the girls that have been through my worst and best and everything in between<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She remains;<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The prom dress that never got to be made<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Author&#8217;s commentary: <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I originally titled it \u201cclass of 2020\u201d just for the sake of giving it a title, but the surprise is the poem\u2019s title is at the last line.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><em>Plethora of Words&#8217; Submissions does not represent HIMSI and BINUS at all.
