The Raid<\/em>\u00a0duology is an Indonesian action movie that was created in 2012 (redemption) and 2014 (berandal). Both of the movies tell the audience about a police cop named Rama whose job is to catch criminals.\u00a0The Raid: Redemption<\/em>\u00a0is the first movie which tells the audience about Rama\u2019s journey to deal with & catch a mafia in an old building. The second movie which titled\u00a0The Raid: Berandal<\/em>, tells the audience about Rama\u2019s undercover job as a subordinate for a criminal to uncover corruption in the police department. The movie was a box-office hit and had gone international. Here are some facts about\u00a0The Raid<\/em>\u00a0duology.<\/p>\n

  1. The soundtrack was composed by a band member<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Linkin Park<\/em>\u00a0is an American rock band that is famous for its songs. Songs such as\u00a0Numb<\/em>,\u00a0In the End<\/em>, and\u00a0Crawling<\/em>\u00a0have been known to many people until today. The band members consist of Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Mike Shinoda, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn. The Raid\u2019s soundtrack was composed by one of the band members which was Mike Shinoda.<\/p>\n

    1. The movie had won international awards<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Not only popular in Indonesia, but the duology was also a hit in other countries, especially in the United States. It had won national and international awards. For the international award, it had won in Toronto Film 2011 as \u201cThe Cadillac People\u2019s Choice Award\u201d for Midnight Madness category, won the \u201cDublin Film Critics\u201d and \u201cAudience Award\u201d at Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2012, and was shining in the Sundance Film Festival in Utah in 2012.<\/p>\n

        Although the movie\u2019s producer and director were mostly not from Indonesia, all the character in the movie was played by an Indonesian actor. The first actor is Iko Uwais, who played the main character named Rama. The second actor is Yayan Ruhian, who played the right hand of the mafia boss named Mad Dog in\u00a0Redemption<\/em>, and in\u00a0Berandal<\/em>\u00a0he played the right hand of the criminal boss named Prakoso. The third actor is Joe Taslim, who played a character named Jaka who is the leader of the raid operation to the old building in\u00a0Redemption<\/em>.<\/p>\n

        1. The Raid: Berandal <\/strong><\/em>has successfully fulfilled America\u2019s needs<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          The Raid: Berandal<\/em>\u00a0has been considered to fulfill America\u2019s needs to be shown to the viewers. It was competing with some of Hollywood\u2019s top movies, such as\u00a0Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em>,\u00a0Edge of Tomorrow<\/em>, and\u00a0X-men: Days of Future Past<\/em>. It placed 7th place with a score of 8.1\/10. The movie got the high score was because many Americans voted for the movie.<\/p>\n

          1. The actors have also played in an international movie<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Both of the movies had involved a lot of actors. But among all the actors, three actors succeed in playing in an international movie. Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, and Cecep Arif Rahman were offered to play in\u00a0Star Wars: The Force Awakens<\/em>. Of course, this would bring good news to the Indonesian movie industry because those three actors had a chance to play in an international and famous movie series. Besides Star Wars: The Force Awakens<\/em>, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman also played in John Wick: Parabellum<\/em>. Both acted as shinobi that was tasked to kill John Wick which was played by Keanu Reeves. The three actors that played in The Raid<\/em>\u00a0duology succeed in introducing Indonesia to international viewers.<\/p>\n
