Plafon akustik tahan terhadap batas ambang kebisingan tertentu. Pemasangan plafon akustik membutuhkan kerangka konstruksi. GFRC diperkuat dengan baja dan serat kaca sehingga menghasilkan material yang jauh lebih kuat daripada beton biasa. Dikenal juga dengan nama Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC). Pengaplikasian dari material ini sangatlah beragam.
