CIA Tips #2: The Exposure Triangle
In photography, exposure is the amount of light which reaches your camera sensor or film. It is a crucial part of how bright or dark you pictures appear.
Exposure is determined by the Exposure triangle that includes the camera’s aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Not only it affect one’s exposure, they also have unique “side effect” that could give you images a notch!
Here are the side effects of each aspect to an image:
- Aperture controls depth of field
- Shutter speed are able to blur or freeze an action
- ISO can add or reduce film grain or digital noice
These 3 controls can be adjusted individually or in unison, in order to control the brightness and capture an image.
