Saman dance is usually performed to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Mohammad or any important occasion in Aceh. The movements used in Saman dance are hand and shoulder-clapping. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Saman dance was designated as the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humans at the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">6<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Session of the Intergovernmental Committee by UNESCO.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Serimpi Dance<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/student-activity.binus.ac.id\/bssc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/38\/2021\/09\/3.-min.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5000\" src=\"http:\/\/student-activity.binus.ac.id\/bssc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/38\/2021\/09\/3.-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Source: indonesia.travel<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Serimpi is a classic dance originating from the royal palace of Yogyakarta. Serimpi dance was first performed in the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">12<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> century. This dance is usually performed by four women accompanied by gamelan music. Serimpi dance reflects modesty, refinement, beauty, and grace. Serimpi dance also symbolizes the four elements of the world, the elements are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Grama<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2014fire, wind, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Toya<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2014<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">water, and earth.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Besides Saman and Serimpi, there are still lots of traditional dances in Indonesia. Each of them have their own uniqueness.
