For some of us, we use it every day for jotting down notes, schedules, printing documents, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Every year in Australia, the average office worker uses about 10,000 sheets of A4 paper, with 50% of these sheets going straight into the bin.<\/p>\n<p>This over-use of paper has a huge impact on a company\u2019s carbon footprint \u2013 not just from chopping down trees to make the paper, but also on the fossil fuel power used for printing, and the chemicals involved, too.<\/p>\n<p>Going paperless is one of the many ways we can do to save our planet. It doesn\u2019t mean we cannot use paper, we just have to minimize its use. The technology we have right now will help us to reduce the need for paper. Every mobile phone nowadays provided various application which enable us to do this.<\/p>\n<p>There are several little things we can do to go paperless, such as&#8230;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Use digital note-taking application \u2013 These days, there are a lot of application that enables you to do this, such as One Note, Evernote, Memos, etc. Using this will not only increase your productivity, it will also save paper.<\/li>\n<li>Replace paper towels with cloth towels \u2013 You can change the paper towels you usually use in kitchen with cloth towels.<\/li>\n<li>Stop printing everything \u2013 You have your mobile phone everywhere you go, do you really need that paper to be printed out?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>And a lot more.<\/p>\n<p>All those things seems small, but imagine if all of us do it, our paper usage would probably be halved.
