Having trouble preparing your interview because you\u2019re scared that you will mess it up? Well, this article may help you. This article provides you tips that might help you go through that stressful experience. Here are some tips to better prepare yourself for that exciting moment:<\/p>\n

1. Practice<\/p>\n

Practice is very important, so you\u2019re mentally prepared for the interview itself. You can try practicing by asking yourself simple, typical interview questions and answering them, such as what you\u2019re good at or what is your weakness, so you don\u2019t need to think so hard finding the answer for the question if it comes up.<\/p>\n

2. Research<\/p>\n

Try to do research about the company that you apply to. Try to relate your answer to things you have learned from your research about the company. Knowing the interviewer\u2019s name, for example, will also give an advantage. Building rapport or connection with your interviewer will lead to a bigger chance of getting hired because people tend to hire candidates that they like personally.<\/p>\n

3. Prepare<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget that you must prepare everything such as your outfit, resume, pen or pencil, and other essential things you need for your interview from the day before. So, you don\u2019t need to worry about anything during the day of your interview.<\/p>\n

4. Use your body<\/span><\/p>\n

Body language is more important than you think. For example, you can do something simple like showing your smile when you meet the interviewer or look your interviewer in the eyes. Also, using hand gestures when you\u2019re talking have proven effective because it makes you calmer and make you look more confident during the interview.<\/p>\n

5. Stay calm<\/p>\n

This is essential, because if you panic during your interview, you won\u2019t be able to answer anything because your mind will forget everything you know during your panic attack. So, try to be calm. Remember that your body language says as much about you, as you\u2019re answering to the questions. With proper preparation, you will be able to stay calm. But, if you still panic during your interview, try to take a moment and take a deep breath, it may not able to fully make you calm, but at least you can think straight.<\/p>\n

6. Close the interview properly<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t forget to end an interview with a warm \u201cthank you\u201d and to mention anything your forgot to say during the interview.<\/p>\n
