This year\u2019s tournament was no exception, as BINUS University\u2019s debaters took on the challenge to prove their skills once again. Following up the astounding victory by Rachel Chen and Jennifer Marcellyn Cen in World Universities Debating Championship 2024, the remarkable debaters of BINUS University show no signs of slowing down. Particularly, Rachel Chen has returned after a month-long hiatus from the debating world.\u00a0 This also with the return of Bobby Ongkojoyo and Leonardus Hans Sebastian Tahyudin, our other professional debaters!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Held virtually via Zoom on February 8 &#8211; 9, the ProAms 2025 became the colosseum for an intense match between esteemed debaters. Facing off the ferocious adversaries were four teams sent from BINUS University, each comprising two speakers accompanied by an independent judge, Regina Stephanie Wuisana.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meet the team<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Team BINUS &#8211; Anak Takdir: Bobby Ongkojoyo &amp; Beyounce Lorraine Alegria\u00a0 G.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Team BINUS B: Rachel Chen &amp; Joseline Fransiska Wijaya<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Team BINUS &#8211; Aaron Wiggins saved basketball : Leonardus Hans Sebastian Tahyudin &amp; Lalu Gede Danny Winawarta<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Team BINUS &#8211; Pinjem Seratus: Wilbert Kinsey &amp; Karla Lita<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Independent Judge: Regina Stephanie Wuisana<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In an impressive showing of skill and determination, our resilient debaters persisted with valor across two days of hard-fought debates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the dust settled, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">BINUS &#8211; Anak Takdir<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> managed to secure 2nd Open break, with BINUS &#8211; Aaron Wiggins saved basketball trailing behind earning 10th Open break and BINUS &#8211; Pinjem Seratus securing 8th Ams-Ams break. However, the achievements continue to pile in. The outstanding performance by <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bobby Ongkojoyo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> resulted in him achieving Co-2nd Best Speaker. On the other hand, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leonardus Hans Sebastian Tahyudin<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> received the award of Co-4th Best Speaker. Finally, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beyounce Lorraine Alegria G.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> obtained the title of Co-4th Ams Best Speaker.
