Unlike passive communication, where opinions are suppressed, and conflicts are avoided; and aggressive communication, which can be hostile and disrespectful; assertive communication empowers us to express ourselves confidently and respectfully to achieve better outcomes. Here are some examples:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><b>How Assertive Communication Can Transform Your Life<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The benefits of mastering assertive communication are far-reaching. Here are some tips to achieve it:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1, Self-Awareness and Boundaries:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Understanding your communication style is crucial. Recognizing self-limiting beliefs that hinder your ability to express yourself assertively is the first step toward change. You also need to state personal boundaries and learn to say no if required to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">2. Using \u201cI\u201d Statements:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Start using &#8220;I&#8221; statements, a communication technique wherein a person expresses their thoughts and emotions without sounding accusatory.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For instance, \u201cI feel disappointed when you don\u2019t put more effort into this work because this task is important for our business goals. What I need is more effort from you in the future, could you do that, please? Thank you\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Don\u2019t use \u201cyou\u201d statements, such as \u201cOur business is ruined because of you and your laziness. You are so incompetent!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is important to use supporting facts instead of assuming with emotional speculation. By focusing on the facts, you can address the current issues and find solutions that benefit everyone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3. Assertive Non-Verbal Communication:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pay attention to your body language and tone of voice, as they greatly impact how others receive your words. Maintain eye contact, stand with an upright posture, maintain neutral or positive facial expressions with uncrossed arms, and speak with a calm but confident tone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">4.
