Socializing has become more important than ever. Connection and networking are the new golden standard. They have become the bare necessities to successfully navigate the world. Connections can get you further than talents alone. This is because everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. No one person is going to be capable of doing everything. This is where connections will help us. It will help cover our weaknesses by playing to other people\u2019s strengths. It can also give us countless new opportunities to grab, when we need it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If we\u2019re just talking about normal socializing, there\u2019s probably no need for a guide. But, socializing in a formal and professional environment is a totally different thing. We need to be extra careful, because \u201cAnything you say can and will be used against you\u201d. We wouldn\u2019t want to be on bad terms with our co-worker, would we? So, here are some useful tips that will surely help you navigate the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><b>Don\u2019t Miss Out Social Engagements:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Social engagements offer you the chance to warm up to your colleges without it being too weird or awkward. So, take those chances and get to know everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><b>Give a Good First Impression:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Humans are irrational by nature. No matter how much we try to not be one, we will never escape from it. This is the reason why the first impression affects how other people feel about us the most. They will immediately assess us and find a box to put us in. So, if we leave a good first impression, then they will associate us with good things.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><b>Be Nice but Not Too Nice:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Who doesn\u2019t like a kind and helpful co-worker? Some haters maybe?, but in general, people are going to like them better than unhelpful or rude co-worker. So, be nice whenever we can, just know the limit so we don\u2019t appear desperate, and <\/span><b>DON\u2019T EVER BE RUDE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">! Gossip spreads like wildfire and the last thing we want is to be on the other end of the gossip.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><b>Set Boundaries:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is one of the more important things that we will definitely have to do. Not all people are nice. Which is why setting boundaries is important. It will help us deal with unpleasant people and not be used by them. It is best to set them early as the longer you tolerate bad behaviors, the harder it is to stop them.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li><b>Know Who to Befriend:<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We might be tempted to befriend everyone. But, that is just simply not possible. Befriend the good ones, those who will help you and have your back. But, don\u2019t ignore the bad ones, you should still at the very least be an acquaintance with them. Don\u2019t make enemies! They are our building blocks.\u201d We are social creatures, to live without socializing is to not live. Socialize whenever you can! Do it often, and do it well!
