All these years, there have been tons of achievements and awards that Indonesia has received. But have you ever wondered about what kind of records Indonesia gained? Indonesia achieved several amazing records and was recorded by the Guinness World Records, which lists world records of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world. Without further ado, today we’re going to discover five of Indonesia’s unique records recorded by the Guinness World Records. Let’s scroll down!

The largest packet of instant noodles

Who doesn’t know the famous Indomie instant noodle brand? This instant noodle is one of the favorite foods of Indonesian people. It has even reached the world because of its delicious taste. Can you imagine if there’s an Indomie that weighs 8 thousand times larger than its original size? Well, it exists! In 2005, PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk made a packet of an exact scaled-up replica of Indomie, which measured 3.4 m x 0.47 m and weighed 664,938 kg. What will fascinate you more is that this massive packet of Indomie is made using the same ingredients and even includes the usual sachet of seasoning as the regular-sized one. Indomie fans probably won’t have to pile stocks of regular Indomie packets if they have this massive one.

Pic source: https://useless-indonesiafacts.tumblr.com/post/130473715874/in-2005-an-indonesian-instant-noodle-company

 2. Most participants in a fingerprint test

Fingerprints are frequently used to discover one’s personality, talent, and interest. Even though some people believe it’s inaccurate, tons of other people have done fingerprint tests and think it helped them discover themselves. On 26 February 2011, Frisian Flag, a multinational dairy company, held a fingerprint test at the Mall of Indonesia. This test was a big success since there were a total of 3,108 participants between the ages of 1 and 6. The attempt started at 10 am and lasted 8 hours, finishing at 4 pm. Seeing this massive number of participants, the Guinness World Records named this test the most participants in a fingerprint test.

Pic source: https://www.dreamstime.com/stock-illustration-fingerprints-set-vector-illustration-white-image62900985

 3. Tallest library building

Pic source: https://www.dreamstime.com/view-indonesian-national-library-building-jakarta-indonesia-october-beautiful-aerial-republic-other-skyscrapers-image130051653

Have you ever visited the National Library of Indonesia? This library was renovated and finished on 14 September 2017, leaving the previous small colonial-era structure with a larger and more modern structure. This new building is very popular not only because this library houses the nation’s printed collections but because it’s very Instagramable, and you can see the view of Jakarta, including the iconic National Monument (Monas). Guinness World Records nominated The National Library of Indonesia as the tallest library, which measures 126.63 m (415 ft) and contains 27 floors of collections and library offices.

 4. Longest human chain underwater

Pic source: https://www.jurnalline.com/2019/08/diikuti-3000-penyelam-longest-human-chain-underwater-wasi-sulut-2019-sukses/

To celebrate the 74th birthday of the Republic of Indonesia, The Indonesia Women’s Organization (WASI) tried an official attempt at the underwater record. On 01 August 2019, WASI was led by their leader, Mrs. Tri Tito Karnavian, to dive into the Manado Bay area and try to make the record. Participants who took part in this activity came out of the water after 7 minutes forming a human chain. At the same time, the Indonesian flag was flown, and the long sound of sirens indicated that the divers had succeeded in breaking the record. In the end, the longest human chain underwater consisting of 578 people, was formed and acknowledged by Guinness World Records.

 5. The largest serving of grilled satay

Pic source: https://www.antarafoto.com/mudik/v1286712909/bakar-sate

Not only does Bali hold its beauty for tourists, but there are also several unique records made in Bali.
