BNEC Internal Competition is an annual event organized to select the most outstanding BINUS delegates for the National English Olympics and the Asian English Olympics. This year’s Internal Competition was successfully conducted online via Zoom meeting on October 25 and October 27, 2024. The Technical Meeting was held on October 25 at 13:00 – 14:25, while the competition day was on October 27 at 09:00 – 14:15 (speech and storytelling fields) and at 09:00 – 17:50 (debate field).

The 2024 BNEC Internal Competition succeeded in getting 52 participants (11 speech participants, 9 storytelling participants, and 32 debate participants).  The Technical Meeting started with the opening by the master of ceremonies, followed by a brief explanation regarding the Internal Competition itself. Then, the session was continued with further detailed explanations about the competition mechanisms in each competition breakout room led by the competition PIC. Throughout the Technical Meeting, all participants showed high enthusiasm and asked a lot of questions to ensure no misunderstandings.

On the competition day, the PIC led their own competition separately. Both speech and storytelling competition fields had 2 rounds: prepared round and impromptu round. Debate, on the other hand, had 3 motions released, causing it to be the last competition to finish. To wrap up the competitions, there was a documentation session in each Zoom to capture the participants’ proud faces.

Overall, this year’s Internal Competition successfully selected the best of the best BINUS delegates for The 2024 National English Olympics and The 2025 Asian English Olympics. This event not only served as a platform to showcase amazing talents but also to prepare these talents for higher accomplishments.
