WAYS TO BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE IN COLLEGE!

As college students, there is a lot to explore when we enter college life. Thus, believing in ourselves and having confidence is very important for us. Having confidence will help us to broaden our experience and will also help us to socialize better. The step below will help you to boost your confidence.

Start with small discussion talk

Giving your opinion while having a discussion can be a good way to gain your confidence. The opinion that you stated during the discussion gave you the satisfaction of being heard by people. Later on, you’ll feel more secure speaking and it will give you the confidence to talk to a larger audience or environment.

Pay attention to your body language and image

Maintaining a good posture while standing, walking, and sitting will leave an impression on others about us. Without us knowing, others’ perceptions give a big impact on our confidence. Our image that others see matters and we like to present ourselves in our best condition. It is also important for us to communicate in a slow and clear voice so that others can get the point of what we are saying.

Prepare your presentation well

Presentations are one of the crucial things that we have in college. It has a big impact on our GPA and how the lecturer sees us. Having good research about the topic that you’re going to present and taking notes on every detail that you’ve got will help you to master the material. After you prepare everything, don’t forget to remember and rehearse several times, so you’ve got a grip of what you’re going to say while presenting and you feel less nervous.

Don’t let other people take you down

Most of the time, our relatives play a great role in influencing our mindset. But, it’s not always a good thing to lose our thoughts in what people say about us. Their opinion matters, but we should focus on the positive things that they say so it doesn’t affect the confidence that we have. Because if we focus on the negative sides, then it will be easier for us to lose the confidence that we have built before.

So, those are some ways to boost our confidence, especially in a college social environment. Remember that everyone has their own pace to be confident and we hope that the tips that we gave will help you to be better. Don’t let anyone take your confidence out!
