BNEC Successfully Holds ELF 2026 Seminar to Encourage Meaningful and Impactful Communication
Jakarta, Indonesia – BINA NUSANTARA English Club (BNEC) successfully held the 2026 English Learning Forum (ELF), an educational seminar aimed at helping students improve their English communication skills, especially in delivering ideas confidently, clearly, and with impact. Held online on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the seminar invited both BNEC members and external participants to engage in an interactive learning experience focused on meaningful communication and self-development.
Established since 1992, BNEC has consistently become one of the most active student organizations at BINUS University and continues to support students in developing their English skills and confidence through various academic and non-academic activities. Through ELF 2026, BNEC once again provided a platform for students to improve not only their English proficiency, but also their ability to communicate ideas more effectively in academic, organizational, and future professional environments.
Carrying the theme “Beyond Words: Delivering Real Impact in Every Sentence,” ELF 2026 highlighted the importance of communication skills in today’s global era. Many students already possess sufficient English abilities technically, yet still struggle to express their thoughts confidently and meaningfully in front of others. Therefore, this seminar encouraged participants to step away from focusing too much on “perfect English” and instead pay more attention to how to speak with confidence, clarity, and intention so their message feels more natural and impactful.
Through this seminar, participants were encouraged to overcome their fear of public speaking, discover their authentic communication style, and improve their confidence in expressing ideas in English. ELF 2026 also emphasized that effective communication is an important skill needed in various situations, including presentations, discussions, interviews, and organizational activities.
This initiative also aligns with the BINUS Graduate Attributes (BGA), particularly in strengthening Global Standard Technical Competencies (GSTC), Applied Management Skills (AMS), and Adaptability. Participants were guided to understand how communication can be delivered in a more structured, purposeful, and audience-oriented manner through interactive discussions and practical learning experiences.
The event was conducted through several interactive sessions, including opening remarks, ice breaking activities, speaker presentations, Q&A discussions, and documentation sessions with participants. Through these activities, participants were expected to gain valuable insights into effective communication while improving their confidence and engagement throughout the seminar.
Through ELF 2026, BNEC continues its commitment to providing meaningful learning platforms that support students in developing communication skills, confidence, adaptability, and the ability to create real impact through every interaction and conversation.
