Some people feel they are loved when they receive gifts from their significant others or loved ones.

Curious about your love language? Pay attention to the types of love language below:

  1. Word of Affirmation

If you have the word of affirmation as your love language, you express your love and feel loved when you get praises, appreciation, and other types of affirmations words. For example, when your partners say, “You look nice today” or “I Love You”, you feel loved by them. Because of this you also often give your significant other or loved one affirmation words to express your love.

  1. Receiving Gift

If you are the type of person who has received the gift as your love language, you will feel loved when your partner or significant other gives you presents. The feeling that you are loved happened not because the gifts are expensive and rare, it is more because of the good intentions and the effort of your loved ones to get you the gift. Other than receiving the gift, you also like to give gifts to your significant other and loved ones.

  1. Physical Touch

Different from the other two languages above, you feel loved and express your love by doing skinship. For example, you give your significant others and your loved ones a long hug to console them when they’re sad instead of comforting words. This is because you feel that giving a hug is better than just mere words.

  1. Acts of Service

If you have acts of service as your love language, you are most likely to prefer a partner and loved ones who give real action. For example, you see your partner help you with house chores when you are tired. The act of your partner helping with the house chores makes you feel more loved rather than when they say ‘I Love You’ on daily basis.

  1. Quality Time

For this love language, you will be very happy and loved by spending quality time with your partner or your loved ones. For example, you prefer a night out by strolling around the city with your loved one, watch movies together, doing your hobbies together, and traveling together.
