WEBINAR AND TALKSHOW: ASIAN ENGLISH OLYMPICS EDITION

In January and March, BNEC held 6 webinars and talk shows with the aim of helping Asian Youths by providing information relevant to their needs as students. Not only that, this activity was also held to support the biggest and the one and only International event in BNEC, the Asian English Olympics. Asian English Olympics is one of the biggest English competitions in Asia. This year, there are 7 competition fields, which are Storytelling, Speech, Newscasting, Debate, Spelling Bee, Short Story Writing, and Radio Drama.

Six webinars and talk shows discuss various topics accompanied by expert speakers. The event was attended by hundreds of Binusian and Non Binusian participants. The following is a more detailed information from the event:

On January 9, 2021, a webinar with the theme “Designing You: How to Build Your Own Personal Branding Online” with Coach Hendra Hilman, Founder & CEO Hendra Hilman International as the speaker was held. This webinar provided Binusian and Non-Binusian with experience and knowledge as well as tips and tricks on how to make a good online personal branding. 

The Secret of a Company-catching CV

On January 16, 2021, a webinar with the theme “The Secret of a Company-catching CV with Meitri Angelina, Recruitment and Employer Branding of a unicorn company as the speaker was held. The purpose of this webinar is to give Binusian and Non-Binusian experience, knowledge, and tips and tricks on how to make a good and correct Curriculum Vitae (CV) that it can be used when they want to apply for a job or internship. 

Track Your Time: How to Have Proper Time Management and Become More Productive

On January 23, 2021 a talk show with the theme “Track Your Time: How to Have Proper Time Management and Being More Productive” with Fellexandro Ruby, founder of Negeri Pembelajar Learning Community and Co-Founder of Thirty Days of Lunch Podcast as the speaker was held. In this event, Binusian and NonBinusian are equipped with experience and knowledge, as well as tips and tricks in order to develop the participant’s ability to manage and make the best use of their time to help them achieve more during their studies.

Hobby + Business, Why Not?

On January 30, 2021, a talk show with the theme “Hobby + Business, Why Not?” with Denny Santoso,  CEO and Founder Tribelio.com as the speaker was held. With this talkshow, we want to provide Binusian and Non-Binusian with experience and knowledge as well as tips and tricks on how to build and maintain a business that suits their hobby.

Beyond Public Speaking: How to Maximize Your Spoken English

On March 5, 2021, a webinar with the theme “Beyond Public Speaking: How to Maximize Your Spoken English” with Wiku Respati, Senior Teacher at The British Institute (TBI) as the speaker was held. This event  aims to provide Binusian and Non-Binusian with experience and knowledge to help them improve their public speaking skills, especially in English, which is of course very useful both in the academic and professional world.

Start from the Brush Tool: How to Optimally Use Design Tools to Assist Your College Life

On March 13, 2021, a webinar with the theme “Start from the Brush Tool: How to Optimally Use Design Tools to Assist Your College Life” with 2 speakers, Ferdian Alzikri and Ridwan Ahmad Ma’arif as UI / UX Designer at Procura was held. This event aims to be able to develop participants’ abilities in using design tools to support their college life.
