Wondering why some people spend most of their days in front of video games? Or why your friend plays ridiculously hard game? The answer lies in this article as you find that there are two groups of people who play games, the casual and the core gamer.
Definition
Casual gamer is what you call a seasonal player, playing games only as they find they need to. For example, they play during a commute, or when they feel absolutely bored. This group of gamer is the one who dominates the number of gamer around the globe.
Core gamer is how you define a gamer who purposely allocate their time to play games. They spend more time, more money and more effort on games compared to the casual gamer. As a matter of fact, they are the group who enjoy to beat the game in every possible way. Difficulty level does not matter to them. However, many aspects of the game have to stand out as this group sets a high expectation towards the game they play.
Game
Casual gamer plays considerably easier game, but some games may also have quite a mixture of complexity. One of the most popular casual game is Candy Crush Saga as it delivers a big hit around the mobile platforms. It is a matchmaking game with many levels to complete and the complexity arise as the game progress.

Core gamer gain enjoyment through winnings. Difficulty, repetitive gameplay or painful experience throughout the game is normal for them. Dark Souls franchise defines this group perfectly as the game offers a frustratingly difficult gameplay complete with an exciting story to follow.
