The world continues to experience rising sea levels, extreme weather conditions and increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases.

People are already experiencing the significant impacts of climate change, including changing weather patterns, rising sea level, and more extreme weather events. Without action, the world’s average surface temperature is projected to rise over the 21st century and is likely to surpass three degrees Celsius this century. This will further increase the severity of climate change impacts, which disproportionately affects the poor and most vulnerable.

There are three ways you can do to fight climate change:

Use energy wisely

Swap your gas stove for an electric stove, which will also lower indoor air pollution, then unplug computers, TVs and other electronics when you’re not using them, then change your bulbs to energy-efficient light bulbs.

Eat for a climate-stable planet

Eat more free meals, buy organic and local whenever possible, and don’t waste your food.

Green your commute

Take public transit, ride a bike, use car-share, and fly less.

References:

https://davidsuzuki.org/what-you-can-do/top-10-ways-can-stop-climate-change/

https://www.naturalcapitalpartners.com/sustainable-development-goals/goal/climate-action

https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/content/documents/23627BN_SDG13.pdf

Climate change threatens many of humanity’s biggest achievements as well as its future goals – goals reflected in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
