Global Volunteer

Global Volunteer AIESEC in BINUS

Global Volunteer is AIESEC’s international short-term volunteer exchange: a 6–8 week placement in another country where you join a local NGO, school, or community project to create measurable social impact while developing real leadership skills. The program is focused on projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is designed to push you beyond your comfort zone through hands-on work, cultural immersion, and structured support from AIESEC members in both home and host countries.

What you get (key value)

  • International experience: Live and work in a different country, collaborate with local communities, and learn cross-cultural communication in practice.

  • 6–8 weeks of impact: Projects are intentionally short but intensive, long enough to deliver meaningful outcomes for partner organizations and to accelerate your personal growth.

  • Community Service Hours for BINUS students: Completing the Global Volunteer program can make you eligible for 20 Community Service Hours (ComServ) as recognized by BINUS.

Who this is for

Students and recent graduates (18 – 30 Years Old) who want to:

  • contribute directly to social causes (education, environment, health, etc.),

  • gain international work-and-life experience, and

  • build leadership, project management, and intercultural skills that employers value.

Typical structure & support

  • Pre-departure preparation (orientation, logistics, visa guidance).

  • On-site volunteering: defined weekly tasks, workshops, community activities, and a final project report or handover.

  • Continued local and international AIESEC support (arrival logistics, in-country contact persons, debrief).
